Full Professor of Strategy Innovation at Ca' Foscari University of Venice, Department of Management, Carlo Bagnoli is Director of the School of Management of the Ca' Foscari Challenge School, and Founder and Scientific Director of the SIM - Strategy Innovation Master. He is as well member of the Territorial Council of the Veneto Region at Intesa Sanpaolo, Coordinator of Fondazione Univeneto, member of the Management Board at SMACT Competence Center and member of the Management Committee and Chairman of the Science and Technology Committee of the R.I.R (regional innovation network) of the Region of Veneto, Smart Destinations in The Land of Venice - 2026. He is Founder and Scientific Director of the university spin-off Strategy Innovation Srl and he is the Co-founder of the university spin-off Digital Strategy Innovation Srl. Ever since active in scientific research in support of business activities, Carlo Bagnoli develops transformation projects for Italian companies in a creative, innovative and provocative way, additionally adopting a highly certified methodology, constantly progressing and updating it. He is the author of 80 scientific papers and 7 monographies, and his last book on total business is “Alla ricerca dell’impresa totale. Uno sguardo comparativo su arti, psicoanalisi, management” - Edizioni Ca’ Foscari.

More than 500 Projects all over the world with consolidate experience on strategy , organization and governance, marketing, sales, digital, innovation, M&A, retail and sustainability, in particular in Consumer Goods, Fashion &Luxury, Travel&Tourism, Private Equity, Media, Health care and Social Impact Sectors. Ca’ Foscari: since 2021 Member of the Board and Strategic Planning Visiting Professor. Unilever: from 1986 to 1989 in Product Marketing roles. Projects for the City of Venice: Co-founder with Professor Bagnoli of VeniSIA Project, Start up Accelerator in the Historical City of Venice focused on Sustainability themes. (2020-21); Author of the Industrial Plan for the relaunch and the repopulation of the City of Venice at the base of the Project named “Venice worldwide Capital of Sustainability”(2020-2021) for which plays currently the overall operational Coordination role. Education & personal notes: MBA at INSEAD, Fontainebleau; Laurea cum laude in Business Management at Cà Foscari. Born and resident in Venice, married, 3 daughters. Active sportsman, travelled in more than 50 countries, and lived 4 years in France.

He is the founder of EU Web Agency – a Digital Agency based in London – and Founder & Program Manager of it's campus, a startup accelerator based in London where start-ups, entrepreneurship, innovation, training and education meet and support each other.
Maria Claudia Pignata
Director - Institutional Relations, Communication & Marketing
Currently Senior Advisor for Territorial Marketing at Ca’ Foscari University Foundation, Maria Claudia has a 20-year experience in marketing and business internationalization. In 2001, PA at Promos - Special Agency of the Milan Chamber of Commerce for Internationalization -, in 2005 Milan-based PSLO for The World Bank Group. In 2008 founder of an event agency in Milan. In 2016 she moved to Venice, Advisor at the Region of Veneto in startupping and Europlanning, and in 2019 Advisor at Ca' Foscari University Foundation, where she currently manages Third Mission activities. With a sound background in UK, Asia (Middle East, UAE, Russia) and Africa (South Africa, Mozambique), she was also a university Adjunct Professor in Rome for "Cultural Events Design" for English courses. She holds a Master’s Degree in International and Diplomatic Sciences and an Executive MBA in Strategy Innovation in Venice.
Director - Sustainability Innovation
Matteo Civiero, PhD in Network Economics and Knowledge Management, former Visiting Scholar at Berkeley University, is Chief Sustainability Officer of Strategy Innovation. Lecturer in Strategic Sustainability Management, for the past 15 years he has been carrying out operational research and consultancy activities for companies and public bodies in the field of Strategic Sustainability Management and Sustainable Territorial Development.
