VeniSIA will cope with Venice sustainable development challenges through an acceleration process involving:

  • 1.international and national Providers of a sustainability innovation solution for sustainable cities, underwater life and clean energy, using labs as well as showrooms;
  • 2.national Seekers of a sustainability innovation project to re-startup the company through the activation of a corporate lab in Venice, coherently with sustainable production and clean energy.

What are the benefits for a company joining VeniSIA?

Companies will benefit from VeniSIA because they will get:

  1. a certain increase of their brand awareness, proving sustainability and innovation leaders to meet the SDGs with the aim to save Venice;
  2. a probable solution of their main sustainable development challenges, leveraging VeniSIA community of innovators and Ca’ Foscari University physical and intellectual assets;
  3. a possible commercialization of the solutions if they can prove to be able to cope with global challenges, promoting them to international investors and venture capitalists (VCs).

Venice as a city lab will host new corporate labs funded by companies which can be:

  1. international companies supporting a broad sustainability action on climate change and clean energy;
  2. international or national corporations providing a sustainability innovation solution for sustainable cities, underwater life and clean energy;
  3. national SMEs hunting a sustainability innovation project to re-startup the company through the activation of a corporate lab in Venice and coherently with sustainable production and clean energy.

What can VeniSIA do for my start-up?

VeniSIA will accelerate new business ideas and technology solutions offering a range of services, including training, mentoring, project management, business model redesigning, co-working, accommodation, etc..

Why shoud I choose an Internship in VeniSIA?

Best master’ students involved in VeniSIA through an internship will be allowed to live a unique life experience living in Venice while coping with the extraordinary sustainability challenge of saving the most beautiful city in the world. How is the governance of VeniSIA funded projects managed?

The governance depends on the origin of the funding:

  • if a single company funds a corporate lab, the governance belongs to the same company;
  • if a company funds a start-up, the governance belongs to the start-up;
    Moreover, the funding company have an option for the first twelve months after the conclusion of the acceleration program;
  • if a donor funds a start-up, the governance belongs to VeniSIA.
