Author of the Rapporto sul Turismo Italiano (Italian Tourism Report), he regularly holds training courses with various institutions: at Ca' Foscari he is a professor of hospitality business management and lecturer in Tourism Economics. Since 2005 he is collaborating with Risposte Turismo, a research and strategic consulting company of which he acts as managing director since 2013. He is co-founder of the start-up "RuntheWorld - sightseeing in movement".
Currently Business Analyst in VeniSIA, Giorgia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Business (developing a thesis on Reshoring) and a Master’s Degree in Accounting and Finance, both with honors from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. Alberto holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Verona (developing a thesis on the strategy of Mass Customization and Glocalization) and a Master's Degree in Management from the Cà Foscari University of Venice following the Accounting and Finance curriculum, both with honors. He published in the British Food Journal a paper on the role of artificial intelligence in agriculture and in particular on the possibility of creating new business models in this strongly traditional sector. A second article accepted by the Management Decision describes the case of ZERO, a vertical farming company in which artificial intelligence plays a fundamental role in the company business model.
Working in the industry since 1996, he received a Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2010 from the University Ca' Foscari of Venice, he taught Computer Architecture, Information Theory and Computer Vision at the Universities of Venice and Padua. Co-author for about 80 peer-reviewer papers published in international journals and conference proceedings, mainly in the field of Computer Vision, with particular attention to issues of representation and processing of three-dimensional data and the adoption of Game Theory in the context of Pattern Recognition problems, ranging from point-pattern matching to surface registration. He is a founding member of the first spin-off of Ca' Foscari University of Venice, whose mission is to transform the results of the Computer Vision team into products and consulting solutions for theo industry. Arturo Lorenzoni is professor of Energy Economics and Electricity Market Economics at the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Padova, Italy. Today the Advanced Technology in Health & Wellbeing (previously called eServices for life and health) is a research center of Ospedale San Raffaele in Milano (Italy), whose mission is to design, develop and demonstrate the ethical, scientific, economic and technological feasibility of innovative personalized services aiming at promoting well-being and informed choices in daily life. The center for Advanced Technology in Health & Wellbeing are a suite of personalized and trusted added value services delivered on state of the art web-based information platform. The center aims at lowering the invisible cultural, organizational, economic and environmental barriers that hamper stakeholders’ effort towards healthier, greener and fairer behaviours in everyday life, both for Individuals and business/social actors.
General Manager of t2i-trasferimento tecnologico e innovazione, holds an MBA with a specialization in Car Engineering, and has a MSc degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Padua. He directed an innovation agency, Treviso Tecnologia, and worked for several years at Accenture, Ferrari SpA, and as a Visiting Fellow and Researcher at the European Technical Center of Omron Corporation. He is an Adjunct Professor of Economics of Innovation and Economic Development at Cà Foscari University of Venice.
Will Sarni is the founder and CEO of Water Foundry, a water strategy consultancy. He is also the Founder and General Partner of Water Foundry Ventures, a water technology venture fund focused on addressing water scarcity, quality, and equitable access to water. He has been a sustainability and water strategy advisor to multinationals, water technology companies, investors, and non-governmental organizations for his entire career. Prior to Water Foundry, he was the founder and CEO of DOMANI, a sustainability strategy firm, and then managing director at Deloitte Consulting where he established and led the water strategy practice. Co-founder of WetDATA and a host of the podcast, The Stream with Will and Tom, Sarni is an internationally recognized thought leader on water strategy and innovation. He was ranked as Worth Magazine Worthy 100 for 2022, A Key Player Pressuring Businesses to Care About Water and one of the Top 15 Interviews In Smart Water Magazine 2019. He is also a board member of Silver Bullet, Project WET and the Rocky Mountain Rowing Club. He was the Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board for the WAITRO Global Water Innovation Summit 2020 and was on the Scientific Program Committee for Stockholm World Water Week from 2013 through 2019. His advisory work includes working with the 2020 X-PRIZE (Infinity Water Prize), as a Bold Visioneer for the 2016 X-PRIZE Safe Drinking Water Team and a Technical Advisor for the Climate Bonds Initiative: Nature- Based Solutions for Climate and Water Resilience. He is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Water Security and authored numerous publications on water strategy and innovation.
